About
What is TEDxDVHS:
TED is a nonprofit organization that strives to create opportunities for people to share ideas worth spreading. TEDxDVHS is Dougherty Valley High School’s own section of TEDx, where we teach public speaking skills, and guide students to find their authentic voices and deliver powerful speeches.
What we do:
Every year, TEDxDVHS hosts an annual event for less than 10
selected speakers to deliver speeches on an area of interest
centered around our yearly theme. We host the event at the
Dougherty Valley theater and it is open for all to watch free of
charge.
TEDxDVHS 2025 info:

talks.
TEDxDVHS Annual Event
TEDEd student talks are open to all members. The student
prepares a speech on a topic of their choice, and get their talk
recorded by a TEDxDVHS officer. This opportunity is open year-
round.
TEDxDVHS transcends its impact beyond Dougherty Valley.
Every year, we host workshop sessions for local middle
schoolers to learn public speaking and present their very own
TED talks. If you are a high school student interested in gaining
leadership experience or a middle school student looking to
gain more confidence in public speaking, this would be a great
opportunity for you!
